Triple-A All-Star Game
Time to start blogging again. I've taken some time off since my last trip but now I'm in Louisville, getting ready for the Triple-A All-Star game on Wednesday night. A few hours of walking and driving around the town have proven to be relatively uneventful. It's Sunday afternoon in the South and everything, as expected, shuts down.
It's a quiet little place but one that I think I'll like. I believe I'm a Southerner at heart anyway. I like the music, the food and the people are usually friendly.
As for the All-Star game, we'll see how that works out. The Home Run Derby, though I loathe them, should be fun Monday night. And the gala on Tuesday is at the Louisville Slugger Museum/Factory. I've been to the last few Triple-A galas and the International League is going to be hard pressed to match the one the Pacific Coast League put on a few years ago in Sacramento. That one was one was my favorite so we'll see how this one compares.
Hopefully there will be some good stuff worth blogging about over the coming days. Looking forward to it.
